New presidents or provosts: Cleveland Commerce Dillard Fort Smith Georgia Lenoir-Rhyne Lubbock UNE Utah State Wesleyan

  • Meaghan Blight, vice president for university growth and chief of staff at Huron University College, in Ontario, has been named president of Wesleyan College, in Georgia.
  • Jennifer L. Burris, chair of the department of physics and astronomy at Appalachian State University, in North Carolina, has been selected as vice president for academic affairs and provost at Lenoir-Rhyne University, also in North Carolina.
  • Rochelle L. Ford, dean of the School of Communications at Elon University, in North Carolina, has been appointed president of Dillard University, in Louisiana.
  • Kent Gallaher, associate dean for strategy and faculty development in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Lipscomb University, in Tennessee, has been chosen as provost and chief academic officer at Lubbock Christian University, in Texas.
  • Gwendolyn Mahon, dean of the School of Health Professions at Rutgers University, in New Jersey, has been selected as provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at the University of New England, in Maine.
  • Ashwani Monga, provost and executive vice chancellor at Rutgers University at Newark, has been named chief academic officer and executive vice chancellor of academic affairs at the University System of Georgia.
  • Shadow JQ Robinson, dean of the College of Engineering and Natural Sciences at the University of Tennessee at Martin, has been chosen as provost and vice chancellor of academic affairs at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.
  • Laurens H. (Larry) Smith, interim vice president for research at Utah State University, has been appointed provost there.
  • Ty A. Stone, president of Jefferson Community College, in New York, has been chosen as president of Cleveland State Community College, in Tennessee.
