New presidents or provosts: Christian Brothers Cleveland State Colorado Davidson Mesa Saint Mary's SCSU TAMU San Antonio

  • Mohamed Abdelrahman, provost and executive vice president of academic affairs at Colorado State University Pueblo, has been named provost and vice president for academic affairs at Texas A&M University–San Antonio.
  • David Archer, interim president of Christian Brothers University, in Tennessee, has been appointed to the job on a permanent basis.
  • Laura Bloomberg, provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Cleveland State University, in Ohio, has been selected as president there.
  • Alexander Conyers, interim president of South Carolina State University, has been named to the job on a permanent basis.
  • Douglas A. Hicks, dean of Oxford College of Emory University, in Georgia, has been chosen as president of Davidson College, in North Carolina.
  • Barbara May, academic dean at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University, in Minnesota, has been named provost and senior vice president at Saint Mary’s University, in Indiana.
  • Tammy Robinson, vice president of instruction at CaƱada College, in California, has been selected as president of Mesa Community College, in Arizona.
  • Todd Saliman, interim president of the University of Colorado, has been appointed to the job on a permanent basis.
